the following item:
Resolution Establishing Assessments for Poway Lighting District to be Collected on the
San Diego County Property Tax Roll for Fiscal Year 2017/2018.
Fiscal Year 2017/2018 ASSESSMENTS are required to be collected in the amount of $690,337 for
the purpose of maintaining facilities within Poway Lighting District. FACILITIES are defined as streetlights,
traffic signals, lighted street signs, and flashing beacons located within the City limits.
The Zone A ASSESSMENT RATE for Fiscal Year 2017/2018 is proposed to remain at the
2016/2017 fiscal year rate of $15.00 per benefit unit per year for improved parcels and $7.50 per benefit
unit per year for vacant, buildable parcels.
The Zone B ASSESSMENT RATE for Fiscal Year 2017/2018 is proposed to remain at the
2016/2017 fiscal year rate of $3.76 per benefit unit per year for improved parcels and $1.88 per benefit unit
per year for vacant, buildable parcels.
The Zone C ASSESSMENT RATE for Fiscal Year 2017/2018 is proposed to remain at the
2016/2017 fiscal year rate of $13.58 per benefit unit per year for improved parcels and $6.80 per benefit
unit per year for vacant, buildable parcels.

ASSESSMENTS are required to be collected in an estimated amount of $662,884 for Landscape
Maintenance District 87-1. FACILITIES are defined as the landscape improvements within the rights-of-
way including roadway medians along portions of Pomerado Road, Scripps Poway Parkway, and
Community Road; portions of Stowe Drive; three detention/retention basins; and the Metate staging area.
