SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Community Road Widening Improvements from Poway Road to
Civic Center Drive (5277A)
ABSTRACT:
This proposal would award the Community Road Widening Improvements from Poway Road to
Civic Center Drive contract to ABC Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of $219,625.00.
The contract time for the project is 60 working days.
FISCAL IMPACT

There are sufficient funds to complete this project.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This project is categorically exempt under Section 15301 of the California
Environmental Quality Act.
ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE
None.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Redevelopment Agency/City Council award the Community Road
Widening Improvements from Poway Road to Civic Center Drive contract to the ABC
Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of $219,625.00

BACKGROUND
On August 16, 1994 bids were opened for the Community Road Widening
Improvements from Poway Road to Civic Center Drive project. The Engineer's
Estimate was $185,000 to $190,000. The contract time for this project is 60
work i ng days.
FINDINGS
The following two (2) bids were received:
1. ABC Construction $219,625.00
2. Aspha lt, Inc. $232,438.00
FISCAL IMPACT
There are sufficient funds appropriated for the completion of the project.
