BACKGROUND
Article 7 of the SCJPIA Agreement requires each member city to
designate a Director and Alternates for voting purposes. with the
change in the Council it is appropriate to update the list as
follows:
Director: Don Higginson, Mayor
Alternates: Bob Emery, Councilmember
Michael Cafagna, Counci1member
Susan Callery, Councilmember
Tony Snesko, Councilmember
James L. Bowersox, City Manager
John D. Fitch, Assistant City Manager
Peggy Stewart, Director of Admin. Services
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached
resolution entitled, "A Resolution of the City Council of the City
of Poway, California, Designating Voting Delegate and Alternates to
the Southern California Joint Powers Insurance authority (SCJPIA)
and Rescinding Resolution 91-070."

RESOLUTION NO. 93-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
DESIGNATING VOTING DELEGATE AND ALTERNATES
TO THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA JOINT POWERS
INSURANCE AUTHORITY (SCJPIA)
AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION 91-070
WHEREAS, the City of poway is a member of the Southern
California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (SCJPIA); and
WHEREAS, as a member, the City of poway is entitled to all
voting rights.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The following are designated as Director and Alternates
of the SCJPIA for the City of poway:
Director: Don Higginson, Mayor
Alternates: Bob Emery, Councilmember
Michael Cafagna, Councilmember
Susan Callery, Counci1member
Tony Snesko, Councilmember
James L. Bowersox, City Manager
John D. Fitch, Assistant City Manager
Peggy Stewart, Director of Admin. svcs.
2. Resolution No. 91-070 is hereby rescinded.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City
of Poway, California, at a regular meeting thereof this 19th day
of January, 1993.
