Dear Councilmember Leonard,
First, I want to thank you for bringing this item to the City and for agendizing the Item for the
10.20.2020 council meeting.
As you are obviously aware, Local Control is an essential planning tool for cities and Counties.
The State's efforts to usurp that control would not be in the best interest of cities or counties.
My colleagues and I work throughout the County and we believe this message could be
leveraged by provided the list of other cities already who have signed on.
Please provide this list of cities Poway will be joining to protect their Local Control. My
numerous efforts to find this list have been unsuccessful either on the California League of
Cities website or by looking under California Cities for Local Control.
