This action will accept the project as complete. Discussion: San Diego Gas & Electric was conducting a gas line leak detection survey in the Old Poway Park area and detected a leak in the service line from the gas meter to the Old Poway Heritage Museum building gas riser. At that time, the gas service was locked off while the testing was taking place and the City was instructed to repair or replace the gas service to the Museum. The existing gas service was located within the paved parking lot and there was no possible way to determine the exact location of the gas leak without digging up the entire pipeline. Therefore, it was decided that the entire service line should be replaced. The City assembled a scope of work and solicited proposals from three qualified contractors that have successfully completed projects for the City in the past. The project construction was completed, and the gas service has been reinstated to the Museum building. There were no change orders. The final contract amount remains $29,778.00. 1 of 2 December 7, 2021, Item #5 December 7, 2021, Item #5
