CONSTRUCTIVE SUGGESTIONS
TRAFFIC NORTHBOUND ON MIDLAND ROAD
The sign at Adrian Way and Midland Road directing traffic
to detour on Aubrey is adequate. It is not necessary
to have a sign south of the intersection of Hillary and
Midland. This is the sign that is causing most of the
problems for businesses further north on Midland.
TRAFFIC SOUTHBOUND ON MIDLAND (COMING FROM TWIN PEAKS EAST AND WEST)
The sign on the east end of Twin Peaks is too confusing
and misleading:
"Detour, Midland Road - -Twin Peaks to Aubrey,
closed to through traffic, open to residents and
businesses, use Community Road and Aubrey to
Old Poway business area."
A simpler solution would be to replace the sign with
one reading "MIDLAND ROAD DETOUR AHEAD"
The sign at the intersection of Midland and Twin Peaks needs
an arrow pointing west to Community Road.
There needs to be additional signs at the intersection of
Community and Twin Peaks for both east and west -bound
traffic saying "DETOUR TO MIDLAND ROAD" with arrows
pointing south along Community.
The existing sign further west on Twin Peaks is OK.
TRAFFIC SOUTHBOUND ON COMMUNITY (WISHING TO RETURN TO MIDLAND)
There needs to be an additional sign on the south -east corner
reading "MIDLAND ROAD DETOUR ".
SUMMERY
The existing signs are too confusing and amaturish. They are
sloppily written and misleading.
Simple signs reading "MIDLAND ROAD DETOUR" with arrows indicating
the proper direction are needed. S 81-
