SUBJECT: Appropriation of Tennis Court Funds
ABSTRACT
It is recommended that the City Council appropriate $17,396 for
construction of one :lighted tennis court at Poway Community Park.
BACKGROUND
At the City Council meeting of July 16, 1985, the City Council
approved a state grant project to construct one lighted tennis
court at Poway Community Park. The City Council also appropriated
$7,604 to match state grant funds for a total cost of $25,000.
The state's matching funds total $17,396.

To date, the City has received $15,656 in state funds. The state I
will reimburse the City $1,740 or 10 percent of the project cost
at the conclusion of the, project.
FINDINGS
In order to spend state grant funds on the project, the City Council
must appropriate funds being received from the state to a project
construction account.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended. that the City Council appropriate $17,656 from
Account 19-8930 (Unappropriated Fund Balance) to Community Park
Tennis Court Construction Account 11-1622-691.
