Archibald, Director of Public Serv' 11!!!P& Jeffrey G Parker Administrative Analyst DATE; June 24, 1986 SUBJECT: Appropriation of Funds for City.Redevelopment Projects BACKGROUND The 1985-86 Redevelopment Agency's Capital Improvement Program was approved on June 25, 198.5.- This program, with a budget of $2,819035, included such projects as the Poway Road Medians and Poway. Road, Garden Road,. and Metate Lane sidewalks. Several of these projects have been completed and have exceeded their current appropriation levels. As a result, the projects show a negative ending balance. The second concern is to provide appropriate funding for engineering costs, where Community Develop menu Block Grant funds were unavailable or could not be used. FINDINGS The following redevelopment projects need additional fund ap- propriation to balance their ending statement: Poway Road Medians . . . $28,300 Poway Road Sidewalks 8,880 The third and fourth projects, Phases I and II of the Pomerado Road Soundwall project, need an appropriation for-design engineering. This appropriation is needed to meet costs not covered by the Com- munity Development Block Grant funds 7A:CTION: .SUN 24 1986 ITEM 28 Yl Appropriation of Funds Page 2 June 24, 1986 The appropriations needed are: Phase I . . $24,200 Phase II. . . . . . . . . 44,000 } RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the Poway Redevelopment Agency approve the following appropriations: 1. $28,300 from the Redevelopment Agency's Administrative Fund to account 39-5202, Poway Road Medians. 2. $8,880 from the Redevelopment Agency's Administrative Fund to account 39-5203, Poway Road Sidewalks. 3. $24 20O.from the Redevelopment Agency's Administrative Fund to account 39-5205, Pomerado.
