Diego Franchise Transfer Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council BACKGROUND Cox Cable San Diego has notified staff that it intends to transfer its franchise to New Cox Cable San Diego, Inc. FINDINGS With the consent of the City Council, under Ordinance No. 2449 (County of sari Diego), Section. 4H, Cox Cable. San Diego will transfer its franchise to New Cox Cable San. Diego, Inc., as part of corporate streamlining. Such a transfer is allowed, under our existing franchise as long as there is no change in the managerial, financial or technical operation of cableservice in Poway, and no percentage change in ownership. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council give its consent:. to Cox. Cable: San Diego to transfer its cable television franchise to New Cox' Cable San Diego, Inc.
