When City Council reviewed the previous minor deviation at the country club for a banquet room, the question arose regardingthe adequacy of parking at the site. Since - that time, staff has.:found. the parking maximized. Two 'points of view could be taken regarding -the `need for additional parking relative to this proposed addition; the new facilities could attract increased usage (i.e., 'increased parking needs) or existing users will have the ability to enjoy an additional activity {.e.g, no increase in parking needs).. FINDINGS Section 7609- of the, Zoning Code allows a 10 percent maximum increase in existing floor area. .fora minor deviation.: The proposed addition would constitute a 9.7 percent increaseL insquare footage. The:` re quested deviation doesnot constitute a substantial change in the, use .permit: and, will. not adversely effect adjacent property or property owners. The proposed design will be compatible. with: the existing StL"ucture if those Conditions recomEitended are impOSed. Therefore,.. approval -with conditions is recommended.
