SUBJECT: Acceptance of Sheriffs Substation and Skate Park Fencing Improvements Project
(#1610A)
ABSTRACT
On November 16, 2004, the City Council awarded the Sheriffs Substation and Skate Park
Fencing Improvements Project to Alvand Construction, Inc. in the amount of $177,336.00. The
final contract amount was $177,336.00. Staff finds the project to be complete in accordance with
the standards and specifications of the contract.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This item is not subject to CEQA review.
FISCAL IMPACT
The project was completed within the amount budgeted for the project (#1610A). No additional
funds are needed.
ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE
Alvand Construction, Inc., 13103 Via Del Valedor, San Diego, CA 92129-3050.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council: (1) Formally accept the Sheriffs Substation and Skate
Park Fencing Improvements Project (#1610A); (2) Authorize the City Clerk to file and record a
Notice of Completion; and (3) Authorize the release of the retention for the amount of $17,733.60
if unencumbered, 40 days after filing the Notice of Completion.

BACKGROUND
On November 16, 2004, the City Council awarded the Sheriffs Substation and Skate
Park Fencing Improvements Project to Alvand Construction, Inc. in the amount of

that the City Council approve acceptance of the project.
