SUBJECT: Acceptance of the Cloudcroft Pump Station (#1745)
ABSTRACT
This contract was awarded to SCW Contracting on November 18, 2003 in the amount of $854,000.
The final contract amount is $861,533.11. Staff finds the project to be complete, except for the
landscape maintenance, in accordance with the standards and specifications of the contract. It is
recommended that the City Council approve acceptance of the project.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
A Categorical Exemption was previously issued for the project. No additional environmental
review is required.
FISCAL IMPACT
The project was completed within the amount budgeted for the project (#1745). No additional funds
are needed.
ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council: (1) Formally accept the Cloud croft Pump Station Project,
except the landscape maintenance period; and (2) Authorize the City Clerk to file and record a Notice
of Completion; and (3) Authorize the release of the retention for the amount of $43,026.66 if
unencumbered, 40 days after filing the Notice of Completion.

SUBJECT: Acceptance of the Cloudcroft Pump Station (#1745)
BACKGROUND
On November 18, 2003, the City Council awarded the Cloud croft Pump Station Project to
SCW Contracting Corporation, in the amount of $854,000.00. There is a clause in the
contract whereas the contractor must maintain the landscaping for 120 days. The
maintenance period began March 1, 2005, and will expire June 28, 2005.
FINDINGS
Eight (8) change orders were issued for this contract. Due to change orders and quantity
adjustments, the final contract amount is $861,533.11 for a net difference of $7,533.11.
Staff finds the project to be complete in accordance with the standards and specifications of
the contract, except for the landscape maintenance portion of the contract that will expire on
June 28, 2005. Funds in the amount of $1,000.00 will be withheld until the maintenance
period has been successfully completed.
