REGULAR MEETING
May 31, 2005
The May 31, 2005, Regular Meeting of the Poway Redevelopment Agency
was called to order at 7:03 p.m., by Chair Cafagna at the City of Poway Council
Chambers, 13325 Civic Center Drive, Poway, California.

Merrilee Boyack, Bob Emery, Don Higginson, Betty Rexford, and Mickey Cafagna
DIRECTORS ABSENT
None

Vice Chair Emery led the flag salute.

Chair Cafagna explained the procedure for Public Oral Communications.
There was no one present wishing to speak.

Motion of Vice Chair Emery, seconded by Director Rexford to approve the Consent
Calendar, consisting of Item 10.

Chair Cafagna opened the public hearing. Executive Director Bowersox gave the
staff report. This item was scheduled as a public hearing, however with Millennium
Housing withdrawing from the purchase of Poway Royal Estates on May 18, 2005,
staff is recommending that the Board receive public testimony, close the public
hearing and remove the item from the Agenda.
The following people were present speaking in opposition to the sale of the park.
Connie Messina, 12643 Oak Knoll Road, Poway
Sherry Wilks, 12824 Granada Drive, Poway
Johnny Gonzales, 13217 Dana Vista, #124, Poway
Buster Johnson, 13321 Alpine Drive, #9, Poway
Motion by Vice Chair Emery, seconded by Director Rexford to close the public
hearing and remove the item from the agenda. Motion carried unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
Chair Cafagna adjourned the meeting at 8:23 p.m.

was canceled due to lack of a quorum.
The next regularly scheduled meeting is June 7, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. in the City
Council Chambers.
