ABSTRACT
In February 1998, bids were requested for the supply of one (1) full size pick-up truck to be used
by the Safety Services Department. Only one bid was received. The bid received was provided
by Jerry Richardson's Poway Pontiac-Buick-GMC. The amount of the bid is $23,543.38. It is
recommended that the City Council award the bid to Jerry Richardson's.

Environmental review is not required for this agenda item.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds for the purchase ofthis vehicle are available in the Capital Replacement Fund, 0108-6104.

BACKGROUND
The City has received a bid from Jerry Richardson's Poway Pontiac-Buick-GMC for the supply
of one (1) new and unused full size pick-up truck to be used by Safety Services. The amount
of the bid is $23,543.38. It is recommended that the bid for the pick-up truck be awarded to
Jerry Richardson's Poway Pontiac-Buick-GMC.
FINDINGS
Bids were requested from several dealers for the supply of a new full size pick-up truck to
Safety Services. The truck will be used in the Fire Suppression division. Only one bid was
received. The bid was provided by Jerry Richardson's Poway Pontiac-Buick-GMC. The
vehicle proposed meets the City specification in its entirety.
