ABSTRACT
The County of San Diego has advised the City of Poway of the availability to purchase
APN 317-361-3600 through a tax defaulted land sale. This parcel, shown on Attachment
1, is commonly known as Lot "A" whi ch is a one-foot stri p at the east end of Sl ack
Street adjoining Community Park. To assure perpetual access from Slack Street to
Community Park, City staff has proceeded with an agreement to purchase tax defaulted
property from the County of San Diego.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This report is not subject to environmental review.

FISCAL IMPACT
For a purchase price of approximately $500, the City will obtain a one-foot strip of
property which assures continuous public access from Slack Street to Community Park.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council appropriate $500 from the Unappropriated
General Fund Balance (100-8912) to purchase APN 317-361-3600 through a County tax
defaulted land sale.

The County of San Diego has advised the City of Poway of the availability to
purchase APN 317-361-3600 through a tax defaulted land sale. This parcel,
shown on Attachment I, is commonly known as Lot "A" which is a one-foot strip
at the east end of Slack Street adjoining Community Park. To assure perpetual
access from Slack Street to Community Park, City staff has proceeded with an
agreement to purchase tax defaulted property from the County of San Diego.
FINDINGS
Parcel No. 317-361-3600 is available for purchase through a tax defaulted land
sale. To assure a perpetual access from Slack Street to Community Park, staff
recommends purchase of this property. County has offered this property for
$300 plus fees. Staff recommends appropriating $500 from the Unappropriated
General Fund Balance (100-B912) for the purchase of this property.
