ABSTRACf
This proposal would award the Train Barn Pit Expansion construction contract to Single Eagle,
Inc., in the amount of $26,000. The contract time for the project is sixty working days.

This item is not subject to CEQA review.
FISCAL IMPACf
There are sufficient funds in the Old Poway Park construction fund for this project.
ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE
Additional notification sent to John Ohler, Poway-Midland Railroad Volunteers.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council/Redevelopment Agency award the Old Poway Park Train
Barn Pit Expansion Project construction contract to Single Eagle, Inc., in the amount of $26,000
and authorize staff to proceed with the project.

BACKGROUND
This project was bid previously on May 9, 1996. Only one bid in the amount of
$31,567.92 was received. The bid was rejected and staff was authorized to redesign the
project in order to attract more competitive bids.
On October 17, 1996, bids were opened for the Old Poway Park Train Barn Pit
Expansion Project. The engineer's estimate was $20,000. The contract time for this
project is sixty days.
