SUBJECT: Acceptance of Public Improvements and Release of Securities for
Improvements at the Southeast Corner of Poway Road and Carriage Road,
Improvement Plan Number 801-04-163; Atlantic Richfield Company,

ABSTRACT
As a condition of developing a mini-market at the southeast corner of Poway Road and
Carriage Road, the developer was required to develop a portion of Poway Road and
Carri ag~ Road. The improvements have been completed. Staff recommends acceptanc~ of
the public improvements.

This action is not subject to C.E.Q.A. review.
FISCAL IMPACT
None.
ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE
None.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council accept the public improvements and direct the
City Clerk to release the performance, payment, and warranty bonds since this project
has been completed for over five years.

BACKGROUND:
This project is located at the 12805 Poway Road (Attachment 1). The public
improvements that were required included the installation of sidewalk, curb,
gutter, driveway approaches, and asphalt pavement. The public improvements
were required as a condition of building a mini-market, service station on the
site. The improvements were completed in the later part of 1985.
FINDINGS:
The Engineering Services Department has reviewed the facilities and found them
comp 1 ete and ready for acceptance.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
This action is not subject to C.E.Q.A. review.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council take the following actions:
1. Accept the public improvements.
2. Direct the City Clerk to release performance bond number 8100-35-01
in the amount of $10,285.00.
3. Direct the City Clerk to release payment bond number 8100-35-01 in
the amount of $5,142.00.
4. Direct the City Clerk to release warranty bond number 8100-35-01 in
the amount of $1,028.00 since the improvements have been completed
for over five years.
