SUBJECT: Acceptance of Construction for Poway Center
for the Performing Arts Mechanical Revisions (5521)
ABSTRACT:
Upon final inspection of the project, staff finds the project to be complete in
accordance with the standards and specifications of the contract. It is recommended
that the Redevelopment Agency approve acceptance of the project.
FISCAL IMPACT
~ The project was completed within the available budget. No additional funds are needed.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
An environmental review was previously conducted. The review determined that the
project was exempt from CEQA and a notice has been filed with the County Clerk. No
additional environmental review is necessary.
ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE
None.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Redevelopment Agency:
1. Formally accept the improvements.
2. Authorize the City Clerk to file and record a Notice of Completion.
3. Authorize the release of the retention for the amount of $2261.25, if
unencumbered, 40 days after filing the Notice of Completion.

BACKGROUND
On December 14, 1993 the Redevelopment Agency awarded the contract for
construction of Poway Center for the Performing Arts Mechanical Revisions to
First Mechanical, Inc. The amount of the contract was $45,225.00.
FINDINGS
No changes were made to the contract. The total value of the contract was
$45,225.00

are needed.
