BACKGROUND
Ordinance No. 404 for ZC 93-01G was introduced and first read at the February 2,
1993 City Council meeting.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council hold second reading and adopt Ordinance
No. 404 entitled, "An Ordinance of th'e City of Poway, Cal ifornia, Changing the
Zoning Classification of Certain Property (ZC 93-01G)."

ORDINANCE NO. 404
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY (ZC 93-01G)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway has approved a General Plan
Amendment in conjunction with the update of the General Plan amending the land
use designation for an approximate 28.53 gross acre site (APN:317-471-13, 317-
472-13) located on southwest corner of Civic Center Drive and Bowron Road from
Open Space (OS) to Open Space-Recreation (OS-R); and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the zoning classification of the pro-
perty should also be changed to maintain consistency with the General Plan as
required by Section 65860 of the California Government Code; and
WHEREAS, a properly not iced publ i c heari ng was conducted in accordance wi th
Section 65853, et seq., of the California Government Code and the California
Environmental Quality Act to consider this zone reclassification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed zoning designations were
adequately discussed in the environmental impact report prepared and adopted for
the 1991 update of the Poway General Plan and that aforementioned amendments
would not result in any new significant impacts; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the City Council does hereby amend the
City of Poway Zoning Plan Map for the above described property from Open Space
(OS) to Open Space-Recreation (OS-R).
Effective Date: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
(30) days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of
fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be published once with the
names and members voting for and against the same in the Powav News
Chieftain. a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of
Poway.
Introduced and first read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Poway held the 2nd day of February, 1993. and thereafter PASSED and
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of said City Council held the 9th day of February,
1993 by the following roll call vote:
