SUBJECT: Appointment of Chairperson for the Performing Arts
Advisory Committee
ABSTRACT
Pursuant to its Charter, the Performing Arts Advisory Committee is nominating
Dennis Masur to be appointed by the Mayor and City Council for a second one
year term as Chairperson of the Committee.
BACKGROUND
The City Council created the Performing Arts Advisory Committee on December
20, 1988, to provide a line of communication between users patrons of the
Poway Center for the Performing Arts and the City Council. The Committee
first met in October 1989, and has met monthly since that date.
The charter of the Performing Arts Advisory Committee provides that the
members of the Committee shall nominate and recommend to the Mayor and City
Council an individual to be appointed for a one year term as Chairperson. An
individual may serve a maximum of two one-year terms as Chairperson.
FINDINGS
At its meeting on February 10, 1993, the Performing Arts Advisory Committee
voted unanimously to recommend Oennis Masur for appointment for a second one
year term as Chairperson.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council confirm the nomination and appoint
