SUBJECT: Acceptance of Completion of Irrigation Pumping System at
Ted Williams Parkway
ABSTRACT
Upon final inspection of the irrigation pumping system for Ted Williams Parkway, staff
finds the project to be complete according to the standards and specifications of the
contract. It is recommended that the City Council approve the acceptance of the
project.

FISCAL IMPACT
The project was completed within available budget and no additional funds are needed.

SUBJECT: Acceptance of Completion of Irrigation Pumping
System at Ted Williams Parkway
BACKGROUND
On March 2, 1993, Poway City Council awarded the contract for the replacement
of the irrigation pumping system on Ted Williams Parkway. The replacement was
necessary due to a traffic accident that caused the destruction of the pump.
The contract included construction of an irrigation pumping system and
installation for the landscaping adjacent to the roadway.
Barrett Engineered Pumps, Inc. was awarded the contract to construct the pump
for $6,387.' Arid-West Landscape, Inc. was awarded the contract for $5,000 to
install the pumping system.
FINDINGS
The irrigation pumping system was inspected and found to be complete and in
compliance with the City's plans and specifications. The pumping system is
operating at this time,
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
This action is not subject to CEQA review.
FISCAL IMPACT
The project was completed within the budget amount. A portion of the pump
cost has been recovered from the City's insurance carrier. Staff is currently
proceeding with the appropriate actions to recover the balance from the driver
who caused the accident.
