Acceptance of Construction of Belvedere Waterline (5709)
ABSTRACf
Upon final inspection of the project, staff finds the project to be complete and in
accordance with the standard specifications of the contract. It is recommended that
the City Council approve the acceptance of the project.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
An environmental review was previously conducted and approved and no additional
environmental review is necessary.

The project was completed within the available budget and no additional funds
are needed.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Formally accept the improvements.
2. Authorize the City Clerk to file and reco d a Notice of Completion.
3. Authorize the release of the retention fo $8,721.41 if unencumbered
40 days after filing the Notice of Comple ion.

Acceptance of Construction of Belvedere Waterline (5709)
BACKGROUND
On May 1B, 1993, the City Council awarded the contract for construction of the
Belvedere waterline to H.S. Excel Corporation. The amount of the contract was
$154,887.75.
FINDINGS
Due to two change orders and changes in the final quantities, the amount of
the contract was increased by $19,540.30 for a total contract amount of
$174,428.05.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
An environmental review was previously conducted and approved and no
additional environmental review is necessary.
FISCAL IMPACT
The project was completed within available budget and no additional funds
are needed.
ADDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE
