Cerini, Assistant Civil Engineer II ~ DATEt April 16, 1991 SUBJECn Award of Bid for Unit 1 Surface 1m rovements - Business entre, ommunity Facilities District BACKGROUND In April 1989, the Community Facilities District 88-1 sold bonds to finance trading and public improvements for this project. Approximately 23,500,000 of the bond proceeds has been set aside in the Construction Fund. On March 26, 1991, bids were opened for Parkway Business Centre Unit 1 Surface Improvements. FINDINGS The following bids were received on March 26, 1991: 1. Palomar Grading and Paving $1,188,918.00 2. R.L.F. $1,190,300.00 3. Southland Paving $1,194,360.00 4. Hazard R.E. $1,293,680.00 5. H&D Construction $1,322,510.00 6. Hubbard, L.R. $1,342,539.80 7. ABC Construction $1,362,398.00 8. Harris, Sim J. $1,398,075.00 The bids were reviewed by Parkway Business Centre and found to be correct. The engineer's estimate was $2,150,000.00 FISCAL IMPACT None. All construction and administration costs associated by the project, including staff time and consultant fees, will be paid out of the bond proceeds.
