SUBJECT: Award of Contract for the Fire Station 2 Kitchen Remodel
Project; ( #0105); Bid No. 14 -011
Summary:
This project consists of a full remodel of the existing kitchen at Fire Station 2 with new
cabinetry, flooring, paint and appliances. In addition the project will raise the ceiling of
the kitchen and paint the adjoining day room.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the City Council award the Fire Station 2 Kitchen Remodel
Project to Cyber Professional Solutions Corp., the lowest responsible bidder, in the
amount of $29,623.00.
Background:
This project is intended to address the aging kitchen cabinets, flooring, paint and
appliances in the kitchen at Fire Station 2. The contract time for this project is 25
working days with an Engineer's estimate of $35,000.

Environmental Review:
The proposed kitchen remodel at City of Poway Fire Station #2 is Categorically Exempt
from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as a Class 1(a) Categorical
Exemption, pursuant to Section 15301 of the 2014 CEQA Guidelines, in that the project
includes repair, remodeling and maintenance of an existing fire station facility to meet
the current standard of public health and safety and that the repair, remodeling and
maintenance involves no expansion of the existing use.
