SUBJECT: Award of Bid to Provide Street Light Maintenance •in
the Poway City Lightinq District
ABSTRACT
Staff is recommending that the City Council award the contract to pro-
vide street light maintenance to the low bidder.
BACKGROUND
Bids were received on Tuesday, May 26, 1987 for street light main-
tenance in the Poway City Lighting District.
The Engineer' s Estimate was $25,000.
FINDINGS
The City Council received the following two bids:
Southwest Traffic Signal Service, Inc. . . .532,305.00
Bonita Electric . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 11,377,20
Based upon past references, Bonita Electric has provided satisfactory
maintenance service, and is qualified to perform the work.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending that the City Council award the contract for
street light maintenance to the low bidder, Bonita Electric, in the
amount of $11,377.20.
