Touw, Director of Planning Services � Kris Hughs , Assistant Planner }-�} DATE: August 18 , 1987 SUBJECT: Development Review 87-02 and Variance 87-01 , Duckett-Wilson Investment Company Ap licant: A request for approval of a Development Review for the renovation of an existing shopping center and construction of two new commercial buildings totalling 8 ,400 square feet; and for approval of a variance for (1) the reduction of the required landscape strip from 20 feet to 12 feet along Pomerado Road, and (2) for an overall lot coverage of 32 percent where 30 percent is the maximum allowed. This site is located at the southwest corner of Poway Road and Pomerado Road in the CG (Commercial General ) zone. APN: 317-151-42 , 43 , 44 , 47 , 50 , and 51 ABSTRACT The subject development review and variance request were scheduled for hearing as of July 31 , 1987 . After scheduling this item, the Planning Services Department became aware of a deficiency in the public notice for the project. The project applicant has also indicated that he would like an opportunity to meet with the Public Services Department to discuss the proposed public improvement requirements . For these reasons , the Planning Services Department i recommends that this item be continued until September 8 , 1987 . � This will allow time for the project to be renoticed and for the applicant to work with the Public Services Department to come to agreement concerning conditions of approval .
