BACKGROUND
Bids were requested from thirteen (13 ) contractors for the
painting of various city facilities. Six ( 6 ) bids were
received . They were :

The amount budgeted for this oroject is $24 , 000 . 00 .

FIPIDINGS
Although Nicholas Painting of Poway is the low bidder at
519 , 000 . 00 , the company does not carry the p[oper state
license to perfotm the required work . The second low bidder
is LaRUe Painting of Norco , California . LaRUe Painting is
properly licensed and has done work for the h!etropolitan
Water District of Southern California . The •4aater District
has indicated that the work done by LaRUe Paintinq was of
excellent quality.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council award the bid for
painting various facilities at Poway Community Park and Lake
Poway Park to LaRUe Painting of Norco , California in the
amount of 519, 250 . 0f�.
