SUBJECT: Tribute /Memorial to Tony Gwynn
As a community, Poway mourns the passing.of baseball Hall- of -Famer Tony Gwynn. A
resident of Poway for nearly three decades, he raised his family here and he participated
in community activities. Thus, it is incumbent upon the City to commemorate his legacy
in an appropriate fashion at the earliest possible time. With Council concurrence l
propose we immediately discuss the best way, the "Poway way," to pay tribute to Tony
Gwynn.
