SUBJECT: Metered Water Outlet Proposal
The current drought has resulted in low ground water levels and, therefore, the need for
access to potable water for residents who rely on wells for their source of domestic
water. To address such demand, I am seeking the Council's support to ask staff to
research the possibility of establishing a local, metered, water source for public use.
Similar to the City issuing a construction meter to contractors working in Poway and
needing access to water, a permanent metered source would allow residents and /or
contractors to have access to water at set rates.
