A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING TEMPORARY USE PERMIT 00-101
WHEREAS, Temporary Use Permit 00-101; Poway Chamber of C
applicant, requests approval to hold the Poway Fall Fest 2000 Street Fair on Midland
Road, Sunday, November 12, 2000.
WHEREAS, on October 31,2000, the City Council considered the al:

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby
follows:
~ 1: Pursuant to the procedures of the City of Poway, implementing the California
E Quality Act of 1970, the al: :1 project is Categorically Exempt,
Class 4, pursuant to Section 15304(e) because the temporary in nature and
have negligible or no permanent effects on th :.
Section 2: The preposed use is in accordance with the purposes and standards of
Section 17.26.030.A of the Poway Municipal Code.
Section 3: The City Council hereby approves Temporary Use Permit 00-101, Poway Fall
Fest 2000 Street Fair, to take place on Midland Road between Poway Road and Hilleary
Place on Sunday, November 12, 2000, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., subject to the
following conditions:

The event and related offsite parking shall be conducted as shown on the site plan
and application on file in the Development Services Department.
B=
This permit is valid during the hours of 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on November 12,
2000, after which time the site shall be restored to its original condition.
The barricades can be placed at 5:00 a.m. and shall be removed by 7:00 p.m. on
Sunday, November 12, 2000.
Appreval of this activity shall not 31lance with all otb : the

E. Prior to the event, the applicant shall comply with the following:

bond indemnifying the City from possible liability in an amount
not less than $1 million for events which utilize City property shall be
provided to the Development Services Department, Planning Division, by
November 6, 2000.
The applicant shall provide a signed City of Poway Waiver of Liability form
covedng the event, participants, and City equipment used during the event
by November 6, 2000.
Signs on Midland Road giving the particulars of dates and times of closure
shall be posted one week prior to the event. All other temporary signage
shall b :h the temporary signage p ' ' "the Poway
Municipal Code.
The City of Poway Building Department, Community Services Department,
Public Services Department, Safety Services Department, and the San
Diego County Health and County Sheriffs Departments shall be contacted
for appropriate contact coordination, permits, and inspections prior to

The sites shall be developed in accordance with the approved site plans on
file in the Development Services Department, except as may otherwise be
provided herein.
The applicant shall notify, in writing, the Midland Road b :1 the
Silver Oaks Apartment Property Manager and residents affected by the road
closure. The notices shall be mailed or hand delivered and include the
details of the date and time of the event, and the area of the road to be
closed. A copy of the notice shall be provided to the Development Services
Department by November 6, 2000.
