A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING TEMPORARY USE PERMIT 00-104
WHEREAS, Temporary Use Permit 00-104; Jennifer Johnson and James Bentz,
City of Poway, Applicants; a request to approve the City of Poway's 20th Birthday
Celebration, scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the Seventh Annual Christmas in
the Park, scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2000, at
14134 Midland Road, in the Old Poway Park.
WHEREAS, on December 5, 2000, the City Council considered the above-
referenced item.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby
follows:
Section 1: Pursuant to the procedures of the City of Poway, implementing the Califomia
E Quality Act of 1970, the al: -I project is categorically exempt,
Class 4, pursuant to Section 15304(e), as th temporary in nature and have
negligible or no permanent effects on th l.
Section 2: The proposed use is in accordance with the purposes and standards of
Section 17.26.030.A of the Poway Municipal Code.
Section 3: The City Council hereby approves Temporary Use Permit 00-104, the Poway
20th Birthday Celebration from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Christmas in the Park from
4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2000, subject to the following
conditions:
This permit is valid during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on December 16,
2000, after which time the site shall be restored to its original condition.
Approval of this activity shall not excuse compliance with all otb : the
Zoning Ord :1 all other applicable City ordinances presently in effect.
C. Prior to the event, the applicant shall comply with the following:
The City of Poway Building Department, Community Services Department,
Public Services Department, Safety Services Department, the San Diego County
Health and County Sheriff's Departments shall be contacted for appropriate
event coordination, permits, and inspections prior to l of all
events.

A traffic control plan approved by the City Traffic Engineer shall be on file with
the Development Services Department, Planning Division by December 11,
2000. The sites shall be developed in accordance with the approved site plans
on file in the Development Services Department, except as may otherwise be
provided herein.
All proposed signs shall be approved by the Development Services Department,

D. During the event, the applicants shall comply with the following:
1. At no time shall emergency vehicle access be blocked to any building, fire
hydrant or fire sprinkler sy,
E. Upon completion of all events, the applicants shall ensure that:
1. The event sites are left free of debris, litter or any other evidence of the
temporary use.
