A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PROGRAM 00-02
ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBERS 317-223-11 AND 12
WHEREAS, RREEF Management Company/SDC Lincoln Business C
and Anytime Sign Systems, applicant, request approval to establish a Comprehensive Sign
Program for the Poway Industrial Center located at 12215 - 12255 Kirkham Road within an
area designated for Light Industrial land use within the South Poway Planned Community
zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby
follows:
Section 1: The City Council finds that this project is Categorically Exempt, Class 11,
from the California E Quality Act pursuant to Sections 15311, in that it will
allow the placement of minor 'y, or appurtenant to, existing facilities.
Section 2: The use is in accordance with the purpose and standards contained in the
South Poway Specific Plan Development Standards.
Section 3: The City Council hereby approves Comprehensive Sign Program 00-02 in
accordance with plans dated September 20, 2001, subject to the following conditions:
Within 30 days of approval, the applicant shall submit in writing that all conditions of
approval have been read and understood.
All signs within each parcel shall conform to the sig :1 design guidelines
contained within the South Poway Specific Plan Development Standards and the
general p ' ' i the Sign Ordinance of the Poway Municipal CoC :led
from time to time.
C. The following design standards shall apply:

Internally illuminated channel letters with vinyl faces. Letter face
colors shall be black, blue (PMS 286) or silver. Returns and trim
caps shall be black or the t' ~ the letter.

face shall be black, blue (PMS 286) or silver. Returns and trim

The tenant/company name shall be located in the 36-inch band at the
top of the building above each tenant's suite as depicted on the
Comprehensive Sign Program 00-02 plan dated September 20, 2001,
and on file with the City. An exception would only be for buildings
having frontage along a street and a main parking lot for the building.
These buildings may h ';in along each street or main parking
lot elevation for a : two wall signs.
A of one logo per wall sign is permitted. Applicants are
permitted to request approval by the Director of Development
Services, for Icg :her than the designated black, blue (PMS
286) or silver. Fluorescent or Day-Glo bright prohibited.
Th 'gn area permitted is up to 4% of the leased building
face frontage, not to exceed 75 square feet. The I

inches (double line copy),
Approval of this request shall not 31iance with Section 17.40.010 of the
Zoning Code, and all other applicable City ord' effect at the time of sign
permit issuance.
Prior to the approval of any wall signs pursuant to Comprehensive Sign Program
00-02 criteria, the existing wall sign for the Crown Lift Truck business located at
12255 Kirkham Road shall be relocated to the approved wall sign location, within
the 36-inch band at the top of the building above said tenant space.
Prior to installation of any sign, the applicant shall obtain an individual Sign Permit
approval from the Development Services Department Planning Division and the
required Building Division approvals and permits.
