A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO, OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES, FOR FUNDS
THROUGH THE 2015 STATE HOMELAND SECURITY PROGRAM GRANT
WHEREAS, The City of Poway is eligible to receive federal grant funds through
the 2015 State Homeland Security Program Grant for emergency preparedness, and
WHEREAS, the approved grant allocation for the City of Poway is $31,905, and
WHEREAS, the federal grant funds for the State Homeland Security Program
Grant require no City matching funds, all grant - related expenditures are one - hundred
percent reimbursable, and the City shall incur no direct costs, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Poway to participate in this program to
enhance emergency preparedness
THAT
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
Mark Sanchez, Director of Safety Services, OR
Dane Cawthon, Fire Division Chief, OR
David Richards, Management Analyst
are hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Poway, a public entity
established under the laws of the State of California, any actions necessary for the purpose
of obtaining federal financial assistance provided by the federal Department of Homeland
Security and sub - granted through the State of California
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
at a regular meeting this 17th day of November 2015
