RESOLUTION NO. 00-093
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY,
CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE SUMMARY VACATION OF A PORTION OF OLD
COACH ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY WITHIN PARCEL 2 OF PARCEL MAP NO. 17989,
PARCEL "C" OF BOUNDARY ADJUSTMENT NO. BA 94-08 AND
LOT "A" OF CITY OF POWAY TRACT NO. 89-13R, MAP NO. 13339
(Vacation 00-04)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of poway desires to summarily vacate a
portion of Old Coach Road right-of-way in accordance with the procedures provided in
Chapter 4, Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, commencing at Section 8330; and
WHEREAS, said portion of Old Coach Road right-of-way was dedicated for
public street purposes to the County of San Diego, per the deed recorded on April 20,
1971 as File No. 78345 of Official Records; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway became the successor in interest to the street
right-of-way upon its incorporation on December 1, 1980; and
WHEREAS, a portion of Old Coach Road was relocated and improved in
conjunction with the development of City of Poway Tract 89-13R, referred to as Old
Coach Golf Estates; and
WHEREAS, public street rights-of-way dedications were made to the City of
Poway for the relocated alignment of Old Coach Road per documents recorded on
March 9, 2000, and May 22, 2000, as Document Nos. 2000-0119046 and 2000-
0264702 respectively; and
WHEREAS, as a result of these aforementioned street rights-of-way dedications
and improvements of the relocated Old Coach Road, an excess street right-of-way was
created.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
as follows:
1. This summary vacation is made under the provisions of Chapter 4, Part 3,
Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.

2. The City hereby finds that the portion of Old Coach Road right-of-way
within Parcel 2 of Parcel Map No. 17989, Parcel "C" of Boundary
Adjustment No. BA 94-08 and Lot "A" of City of Poway Tract 89-13R. Map
No. 13339 has been superseded by relocation of the road (Section
8330a) and has created an excess right-of-way not required for street
purposes (Section 8334a).
3. The City hereby declares that the portion of Old Coach Road right-of-way
within Parcel 2 of Parcel Map No. 17989, Parcel "C" of Boundary
Adjustment No. BA 94-08 and Lot "A" of City of Poway Tract 89-13R, Map
No. 13339, described on Exhibit A, is hereby vacated.
4. The City Clerk of the City of Poway is hereby directed to cause a certified
copy of this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of San
Diego County in accordl:tnce with Section 8336a of said Streets and
Highways Code.
5. That from and after the date the resolution is recorded, the vacated
portion of Old Coach Road right-of-way within Parcel 2 of Parcel Map No.
17989, Parcel "C" of Boundary Adjustment No. BA 94-08 and Lot "A" of
City of Poway Tract 89-13R, Map No. 13339, no longer constitutes a
street [Section 8335b(4)] and that upon such recordation, the vacation is
complete (Section 8336b).
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED, by the City Council of the City of
Poway, California, at a regular meeting this 3rd day of October 2000.

OLD COACH ROAD VACATION
That portion of Old Coach Road right-of-way for public road purposes over and across
Road Survey No. 722 according to map on file in the Office of the County Surveyor. and
as granted to the County of San Diego by a deed recorded on April 20, 1971 as File No.
78345 of Official records lying within that portion of Parcel 2, as shown on Parcel Map
No. 17989 as File No. 1998-99090 of Official Records and that portion of Parcel "C", as
shown on Boundary Adjustment No. BA 94-08, filed in the Office of the County
Recorder of San Diego County on February 16, 1995, as File No. 1995-0071138 of
Official Records and Lot "A" of City of Poway Tract 89-13R, Old Coach Golf Estates,
Phase 1. Unit 1, Map No. 13339, all in the City of Poway, County of San Diego, State of
California, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the southerly terminus of that certain line shown and designated as "North
140 02' 41" West 52.00 feet" on said Lot "An; thence along a pcrtion of the southerly
line of said Lot "A" South 75057' 19" West 125.91 feet to the easterly right-of-way of
Old Coach Road, as granted by a deed recorded on April 20, 1~7i, as File No. 78345
of Official Records being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence along said easterly
line of Lot "A" South 750 57' 19" West 37.34 feet to the beginning of a tangent 226.00-
foot radius curve concave northerly; thence westerly along said curve through a central
angle of 100 25' 02" an arc distance of 41.09 feet to the westerly right-of-way of said
Old Coach Road, being the beginning of a non-tangent 1030.00-foot radius curve
concave southeasterly, to which a radial line bears North 620 46' 02" East; thence
continuing along said westerly right-of-way northeasterly along said curve through a
central angle of 120 04' 50" an arc distance of 217.16 feet; thence continuing along said
westerly right-of-way North 390 18' 48" East 735.31 feet; thence leaving said westerly
right-of-way South 500 41' 12" East 60.00 feet to said easterly right-of-way of Old
Coach Road; thence along said easterly right-of-way South 390 18' 48" West 735.31
feet to the beginning of a tangent 970.00-foot radius curve concave southeasterly;
thence continuing along said easterly line, southwesterly along said curve through a
central angle of 090 11' 50" an arc distance of 155.71 feet to the TRUE POINT OF
