A RESOLUTION OF T~E CITY COUNCIL
OF 'rli~ CITY OP PO~AY, CALIPOI~IA
ADOPTING PAI{T 7 (POWAY COI'~IUNITY PLAN)
OF THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY GENERAL PLAN
AS THE INTERIH GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF POWAY
WHEREAS, the City of Poway, California was incorporated on December 1,
1980, as a general law city of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code 65302.5 the City Council, City of
Poway has thirty (30) months from the effective of incorporation to adopt a
general plan for the City of Poway, containing all elements prescribed by
state law; and
WHENEASl on October 5, 1978 the San Diego County Board of Supervisors
adopted the Poway Community Plan as Part 7 of the San Diego County General
Plan; and
WHEREAS, pending adoptionof a Poway City General Plan, it is the
intention of the City Council, City of Poway to adopt the Poway Community
Plan, Part 7 of the San Diego County General Plan, as the interim Poway
City General Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Poway DOES RESOLVE,
DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. The City Council, City of Poway, does hereby adopt by
reference, Part 7 of the San Diego County General Plan, exclusive of appen-
dices, as the interim city general plan of the City of Poway.
Section 2. Part 7 of San Diego County General Plan herein adopted by
reference as the Interim Poway City General Plan shall be that duly adopted
by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors on October 5, 1978 and as
revised by said Board of Supervisors on December 19, 1979.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 1st day of December, 1980.
