A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
ESTABLISHING RED CURB ON EVANSTON DRIVE
AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH POWAY ROAD
WHEREAS, Section 10.28.080 of the Poway Municipal Code allows the City Council
to determine by resolution that it is necessary to prohibit stopping, standing or parking on
certain highways, or portions thereof, at all or certain hours of the day, in order to facilitate
the movement of traffic or to eliminate a hazardous condition; and
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that a hazardous condition exists on
Evanston Drive and that the movement of traffic will be facilitated by restriction of parking
in this area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
as follows:
1. Stopping, standing and parking will not be permitted on either side of
Evanston Drive from its intersection with Poway Road for a distance of 50 feet.
2. That this parking restriction will not take effect until red curb indicating the
parking restriction has been installed on Evanston Drive.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
at a regular meeting this 14th day of October, 2003.
