RESOLUTION NO. 03-102
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
TO INSTALL STOP AND YIELD SIGNS AT CERTAIN
INTERSECTIONS ALONG MCFERON ROAD EAST OF POMERADO ROAD
WHEREAS, Section 21100 of the California Vehicle Code permits local authorities
to adopt by resolution traffic control measures meeting the requirements set forth under
Section 21351 of the California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 21351 of the California Vehicle Code permits the establishment
of stop and yield controls in the City of Poway; and
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that stop and yield controls should be
established.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Poway as
follows:
Section 1. In accordance with said Section 21351 ofthe California Vehicle Code,
all-way stop controls shall be installed at the intersection of McFeron Road and T obiasson
Road with appropriate striping, marking, and advance warning signs.
Section 2. In accordance with said Section 21351 of the California Vehicle Code,
the existing yield sign on Mountainside Drive shall be replaced with a stop sign and
appropriate striping and marking for traffic approaching McFeron Road.
Section 3. In accordance with said Section 21351 ofthe California Vehicle Code,
a stop sign shall be installed on Ring Road and a yield sign shall be installed on McFeron
Road with appropriate striping and marking at the intersection of Ring Road and McFeron
Road.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway at
a regular meeting this 2nd day of December 2003.
