Res 17-052RESOLUTION NO. 17-052 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING CHANGES TO THE POSITION CLASSIFICATION PLAN WHEREAS, classification systems are fluid and dynamic and should be updated periodically based on changing needs of and the public services provided to the community; WHEREAS, a recent vacancy in the Human Resources & Risk Management Department has created a responsibility and opportunity to evaluate, align and optimize the Department's existing resources and functions with the needs of the organization; and WHEREAS, the City Council approves any changes to or revisions of the Position Classification Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as follows: Section 1: The above recitals are true and correct; Section 2: The elimination of the Human Resources Manager classification and the proposed classification of Senior Human Resources Analyst and related classification specification Qob description) are approved and on file in the Human Resources & Risk Management Department; Section 3: The City of Poway Position Classification Plan (Exhibit A) illustrated on the attachment is approved; and Section 4: The revised Position Classification Plan will be effective August 11, PLOW PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway, California, at a regular meeting this 1st day of August 2017.
