RESOLUTION NO. 04.019
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY,
CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A NO-PARKING ZONE ON
TIERRA BONITA ROAD BETWEEN TWIN PEAKS ROAD AND
APPROXIMATELY 60 FEET SOUTH OF POWAY VALLEY ROAD
WHEREAS, Section 10.28.080 of the Poway Municipal Code allows the City Council
to determine by resolution that it is necessary to prohibit stopping, standing or parking on
certain highways, or portions thereof, at all or certain hours of the day, in order to facilitate
the movement of traffic or to eliminate a hazardous condition; and
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that a hazardous condition exists on Tierra
Bonita Road and that the movement of traffic will be facilitated by restriction of parking in
this area; and
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that the double yellow centerline on Tierra
Bonita Road should be extended from the south side of the Country Creek Road
intersection southward to meet and match the existing double yellow centerline.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of poway
as follows:
1. Stopping, standing, and parking will not be permitted on Tierra Bonita Road
between Twin Peaks Road and approximately 60 feet south of Poway Valley
Road.
2. This parking restriction will not take effect until red curb indicating the parking
restriction has been installed in the affected areas.
3. Four hundred new feet of new double yellow centerline will be installed on
Tierra Bonita Road from the south side of the Country Creek Road intersection
southward to meet and match the existing double yellow centerline.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of poway
at a regular meeting this 23rd day of March, 2004.
