Minutes 2012 05-14CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA MINUTES OF THE BUDGET REVIEW COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING May 14, 2012 The May 14, 2012, Regular Meeting of the Budget Review Committee was called to order at 6:03 p.m. by Chairperson Steve Vaus at the Poway City Council Chambers Observation Room, 13325 Civic Center Drive, Poway, California. COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT Steve Vaus, Chair Gary Fletcher, Vice Chair John Carnaroli Howard Collins Jeff Mangum COMMITTEE MEMBERS ABSENT None STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT Penny Riley Tina White John French Peter Moote Eric Heidemann PUBLIC ORAL COMMUNICATIONS None COMMITTEE BUSINESS 1. Goals and Objectives for FY 2012-13 Chairperson Steve Vaus called for discussion of department Goals and Objectives proposed for FY 2012-13. Staff provided clarification and explanations for various department items in response to Committee member inquiries. Budget Review Committee Minutes Regular Meeting May 14, 2012 Page 2 of 2 2. Proposed FY 2012/13 operating budgets, including departments: Legislative and Administrative Administrative Services Community Services Development Services Public Works Safety Services The Committee began their review of department operating budgets. Staff responded to various inquiries from the Committee based on the revenue and expenditure detail schedules for the Legislative and Administrative, Administrative Services, and Community Services departments. Review of the Development Services, Public Works, and Safety Services department operating budgets was continued to the Committee’s next scheduled meeting on May 21, 2012. Review of fund activity and balances was also continued to the May 21 meeting.
