MINUTES OF THE BUDGET REVIEW COMMITTEE
REGULAR MEETING
May 18, 2015
The May 18, 2015, Regular Meeting of the Budget Review Committee was called to
order at 6:03p.m. at the Poway City Council Chambers Observation Room, 13325 Civic
Center Drive, Poway, California.

COMMITTEE BUSINESS
1. Approval of Minutes-May 11, 2015
Continued to May 26, 2015
2. Capital Improvement Program
Bob Manis provided an overview of the Citywide Capital Improvement Program (CIP),
including the history of the program (pre-and post-Redevelopment), and projects
currently in process. Steve Crosby discussed the new projects proposed for funding
in the FY 2015-17 Biennium.

Committee discussion included the Community Park facilities plan , and its timing in
relation to the Poway Road Corridor Study.
3 . Fund Activity Schedules
Scott Edwards distributed the preliminary Budget by Fund schedule for FY 15-16, the
fund activity detail schedules, and the all-funds summary schedule. Peter Moote
provided an explanation of the schedules.
4. Discussion -Annual Report of Recommendations to the City Council
Ginger Couvrette initiated the discussion on the Committee's report of
recommendations for the FY 2015-17 Biennium Budget. Scott cited the topics of the
Committee's discussions at all prior meetings. Ginger Couvrette requested that the
Committee Members provide staff with their statements and recommendations for the
report, which she would use to prepare a draft report for the Committee's
consideration at their meeting on May 26.
