RESOLUTION NO. 04- 025
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
INITIATING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 04-01 AND
SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT 88-01 D
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq" of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, Section 17.46.020B of the Poway Municipal Code provides that any
change to City regulations may be initiated by Resolution of the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Powayas
follows:
Section 1: The City Council does hereby initiate General Plan Amendment 04-01 to
redesignate certain parcels, or portions thereof, located in the Old Poway area from
Commercial General (CG) to Open Space-Recreation (OS-R) and an amendment to the
Transportation Element of the Poway General Plan reclassifying the existing section of
Midland Road between Edgemoor Street and Aubrey Street within the City of Poway from a
4-lane Arterial Collector to a 2-lane Local Collector, and Initiation of a Specific Plan
Amendment 88-01 D to correct land use changes associated with the General Plan
Amendment.
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, this 20th day of April 2004.
