RESOLUTION NO. 04-026
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
ESTABLISHING ALL-WAY STOP CONTROLS ON KIRKHAM WAY AT THE
INTERSECTIONS OF (A) COMMUNITY ROAD, (B) TECH CENTER DRIVE,
AND (C) STOWE DRIVE
WHEREAS, Section 21100 of the California Vehicle Code permits local authorities
to adopt by resolution traffic control measures meeting the requirements set forth under
Section 21351 of the California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 21351 ofthe California Vehicle Code permits the establishment
of stop controls in the City of Poway; and
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that stop controls should be established,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
Section 1. In accordance with said Section 21351 ofthe California Vehicle Code,
all-way stop controls shall be installed at the following intersections: (1) Community Road
and Kirkham Road/Kirkham Way, (2) Kirkham Way/Tech Center Drive, and (3) Kirkham
Way/Stowe Drive. Advance warning signs on both approaches of Kirkham Road/Kirkham
Way and on the westbound approach to the Kirkham Way/Stowe Drive intersection shall
be equipped with flashing beacons, and all four stop signs at all three intersections shall be
equipped with flashing LED lights.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, this 20th day of April, 2004.
