SUBJECT: Ordinance No. 197 - Second Reading
HACKGRZUND
OAS September 16, 1986, the City Council introduced and had the first reading on
Ordinance No. 197 - "An Ordinance of the City of Poway, California, Adopting
Certain Sections of the County Cade Relating to Animal Control by Reference and
Rescinding Certain Sections of the Poway Municipal Code Relating to Animal
Control." Mayor Kruse was absent at first reading.
FINDINGS
It is in order to have the second reading and adopt this Ordinance.
RECCHMENDATION
If the City Council desires to adopt, read title and waive further reading of
Ordinance by unanimous vote. Pass motion closing public hearing and adopting
(roll call vote) .

ORDINANCE NO. 197
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ADOPTING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE
COUNTY CODE RELATING TO ANIMAL CONTROL
BY REFERENCE AND RESCINDING CERTAIN
SECTIONS OF THE PCWAY MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO ANIMAL CONTROL
WHEREAS, THE San Diego Board of Supervisors has revised the code for animal
regulations; and
WHEREAS, under provisions of our contract for animal control it is necessary
for the City's provisions to be parallel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
1. The following sections of Chapter 6.12 of the Poway Municipal Code are
hereby repealed: Sections 6.12.010-6.12.520.
2. Chapter 6, Division 2, Title 6 (Sections 62.601-62.685) and Chapter 7,
Division 2, Title 6, (commencing with Section 62.700) of the San Diego
County Code are hereby adopted by reference. One copy of said sections
are on file in the office of the City Clerk.

EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
(30) days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fifteen
(15) days after its passage, it shall be published once with the names and man-
bers voting for and against the same in the Poway News Chieftain, a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Poway.
Introduced and first read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Panay held the 16th day of September, 1986, and thereafter PASSED AND
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of said City Council held the _ day of
1986, by the following roll call vote:
