A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
POWAY, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A
TAX-DEFAULTED PROPERTY (ASSESSOR'S PARCEL
NUMBER 317-280-12-00)
WHEREAS, on March 5, 2018,the County of San Diego notified the City of Poway about tax-
defaulted properties within the City that would be available for purchase by the City before being
offered at a public auction;
WHEREAS, on April 5, 2018, the City of Poway notified the County of the intent to purchase
one tax-defaulted property and requested that the County withdraw the parcel from upcoming public
auction sales;
WHEREAS, the tax-defaulted property is in an area targeted for open space preservation
and is in the vicinity of several other parcels owned by the City; and
WHEREAS, the tax-defaulted property will be used for open space preservation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as follows:
Section 1: The purchase of the tax-defaulted property (APN 317-280-12-00) is hereby
approved.
Section 2: The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute agreement number 7070 with the
County of San Diego.
PASSED,ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway, California
at a regular meeting this 18th day of December 2018.
