RESOLUTION NO. 04-098
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
ESTABLISHING NO-PARKING ZONES
AT THE LA MANDA ROAD/
HILLTOP CIRCLE NORTH INTERSECTION
WHEREAS, Section 22500 (a) of the California Vehicle Code prohibits any person
to stop, park, or leave standing any vehicle whether attended or unattended within an
intersection; and
WHEREAS, Section 21100 of the California Vehicle Code permits local authorities
within their jurisdiction to regulate by resolution traffic by means of official traffic control
devices meeting the requirements set forth under Section 21400 of the California Vehicle
Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 10.28.080 of the Poway Municipal Code allows the City Council
to determine by resolution that it is necessary to prohibit stopping, standing or parking on
certain highways, or portions thereof, at all or certain hours of the day, in order to facilitate
the movement of traffic or to eliminate a hazardous condition; and
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that a hazardous condition exists at the
intersection of La Manda Road Hilltop Circle and that the movement of traffic will be
facilitated by restriction of parking in this area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
as follows:
1. Stopping, standing, and parking will not be permitted on the east side of La
Manda Road, from the southerly intersection of Hilltop Circle with La Manda
Road to the north end of La Manda Road.
2. Stopping, standing, and parking will not be permitted on the west side of La
Manda Road approximately 150 feet north and south of its intersection with
Hilltop Circle North.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
at a regular meeting this 9th day of November, 2004.
