RESOLUTION NO. 04-101
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
ESTABLISHING ANGLE PARKING ZONE ON MIDLAND ROAD
BETWEEN TWIN PEAKS ROAD AND ORANGE BLOSSOM LANE
WHEREAS, Section 22503 of the California Vehicle Code states that "local
authorities may by ordinance permit angle parking on any roadway"; and
WHEREAS, Section 10.28.030(B) of the Poway Municipal Code allows the City
Council to create angle parking zones; and
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it would be beneficial to create an
Angle Parking Zone at designated areas of Midland Road between Twin Peaks Road and
Orange Blossom Lane; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe CityofPoway, as
follows:
SECTION 1. An Angle Parking Zone is hereby created on both sides of Midland
Road north between Twin Peaks Road and Orange Blossom Lane as follows:
A. On the west side, from the curb return at Twin Peaks Road to 42.5 feet south
of the intersection with Orange Blossom Lane, except for a 23-foot-long segment adjacent
to the Public Works drainage access gate;
B. On the east side, between the two driveways to the Poway Unified School
District offices; and
C. On the east side, from 71.5 feet north of the intersection with Twin Peaks
Road to the southernmost driveway to the Poway Unified School District offices.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, California, this
30th day of November, 2004 by the following vote:
AYES: EMERY, HIGGINSON, REXFORD, CAFAGNA
