SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Four -Wheel Drive Sport Truck
BACKGROUND

On July 9, 1986,'the City solicited bids from dealers interested in supplying the
City with a new compact four-wheel drive sport. truck. Several bid packages were
mailed and two responses were received. The responses were as follows:
Center City Ford
San. Diego, CA Bronco II' $13,510.44
Lou Grubb Chevrolet
Poway, CA
S-10 Blazer $13,:581.27
The amount budgeted for this item is $16,000.00.
FINDINGS
This was the second request for bids for a four-wheel drive sport truck. The` first
bids were rejected as being unresponsive. .The latest bids received were very
responsive and the prices excellent:
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council award the bid for a four-wheel sport truck
to Center City Ford of San Diego. Total amountof award - $13,510.44.
