SUBJECT: Authorization to.Bid Construction of a Fishing
Float. Lighting System at Lake Poway
ABSTRACT`
it is recommended that the City Council authorize staff to advertise
for public bids for the construction of a. fishing float lighting
system. at Lake. Poway. The bid opening date is recommended for
March 18, 1986.. The: estimated cost for the project is $18,000.
BACKGROUND.
At. the October 11, 1984 City Council meeting, the Council approved`
a California Parks and Recreational Facilities State Grant Project
to construct a lighting system for the fishing float at bake Poway.
Funds for this project have been included in the 1985-86 Capital.
Improvement Program.for Lake Poway. The project has been State::
f` approved for 100 percent of the project costs to be: reimbursed.when
completed.
FINDINGS
The firm of Berryman & Stephenson has completed plans and bid
specifications for construction of a lighted fishing float system
at Lake Poway. The total estimated cost to complete the project is:
$18J,000.
The night fishing program begins at Lake Poway on April 30,-1986
and the project will be scheduled for completion prior to opening
night.,
