This Ordinance is scheduled for adoption at the Regular City Council Meeting of August 6, 2019. ORDINANCE NO. 829 entitled, “An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Poway, California, Adding Chapter 17.56 to the Poway Municipal Code Regulating Wireless Communication Facilities.” The proposed Ordinance would add Chapter 17.56 to the Poway Municipal Code entitled "Wireless Communication Facilities," which would establish a new Wireless Communication Facility ("WCF") permit required for all WCFs installed within the public right-of-way anywhere in the City. The Ordinance would not impact the regulation of WCFs on private land, where typically, a conditional use permit or other discretionary approval is required. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days after its adoption.
